14 Foot Trampoline

If you are in the market for a trampoline, one of the biggest decisions that you will have to make has to do with finding the best size to suit your needs. Of course, if you are working with substantially limited space, you may not have many choices when it comes to trampoline size; however, if you have a larger yard or lot, or are intending to use your trampoline to practice gymnastics (or something along those lines) you may want to go for a bigger model, such as a 14 foot trampoline. While less readily available than 8-12 foot models, these larger trampolines tend to be more versatile and can serve a wider array of needs than their smaller counterparts.

Accessories

Because many people who purchase a 14 foot trampoline are doing so to facilitate gymnastics or some other form of training, it is imperative that the appropriate accessories are also purchased to prevent injury. Standard safety equipment, such as safety pads, are often included with the trampoline itself. However, if the trampoline’s intended purpose includes practicing gymnastics or other potentially dangerous activities, you are also going to want to add safety netting to your list of standard safety equipment. These nets are not generally included with the trampoline itself, and therefore must usually be purchased separately. Not to worry, however, as they are fairly inexpensive and can generally be found in the same location as you purchase your trampoline.

Safety

When you have a 14 foot trampoline, the extra jumping space may tempt you into allowing more than the recommended number of people (generally only one or two) to jump at a time. In a word, don’t. It is important to follow all safety recommendations when jumping on any trampoline, regardless of the size. This is especially true if you are going to be doing flips or other potentially dangerous activities while using the trampoline.

This is because jumpers colliding can cause injuries that are as devastating as falling off of the trampoline itself. In fact, hundreds of head injuries occur annually when trampoline jumpers’ heads collide with one another during the course of jumping.

Where can you Find One

If you are in the market for a 14 foot trampoline, you can find one at most sporting goods retailers. In addition, they are often available online at a variety of etailers and auction sites. Because they are more expensive and move off of the shelves slower than their smaller counterparts, you may have to look a little longer or special order your trampoline.
